Quick Sketch for CW

Pencils, inks, and...
I had a little time the other night to ink a couple sketches of past Character Wednesday posts I neglected. Get it, " catch up." Sorry for the ultra-lame wordplay.
The first is totally a riff from Blue Beetle #1. Second, is some chick from the X-Men...she's got brain powers or something.
Very few posts = busy December
I wrapped up a couple DIY christmas presents for my wife's bff. Wish I could have gotten to the color stage, but alas, Santa only brought me so much time. Also a big lesson learned; I have to get better about separating with my inks.
Breaking in a new brush a little while back...
Sketched up a quick Conan last night and put some inks on a not-so-new sketch of the Mouse. I tend to not do cute. I mean, what's cute about taming the wild goat?
Here's a preview of some Panel books that will be going up on Etsy this weekend. Look back here tomorrow evening for a link. I'll do a sketch in any and all books ordered...that is, if you want me defacing these small press beauties. Come on...you know this will bolster your hipster credibility.
Update - Panel 18 is now up for sale in my Etsy store. I will be adding more volumes and some original art here shortly...hopefully by Turkey Day.
I finished up a new sketch in my LOC sketbook. LOC is the Library of Congress. As stated in previous posts, I've been using their copyright free Flickr photostream for warmup and break sketches. You can see all the sketches so far in by clicking the Sketchbook 1 link above.
Update - Added another sketch.
If you don't know about Seagull Bags in Clintonville go here, or here. Pricey but bombproof and beautiful. Effing Ohio, why do I love/hate you?
Full-disclosure update - I already own a Seagull bag (see pic), so pining over a new one is both a touch greedy and excessive. My aploogies to myself...the only guy that reads this (according to Google Analytics.)
My middle guy, Brady, wants nothing more than to be a Care Bear for trick-or-treat. The problem my wife and found is that they don't make these type of costumes for 50", 60lb, 5-year olds. Solution - home made Care Bear costumes. My contribution will be a couple screen printed tees while Bran handles the other bear parts. Here's my first pass at the t-shirt design. I'm doing everything I can to not make myself a Grumpy Bear T.
Update - Shirts ordered from local shop Skreened. I ended up moving the images up to the chest area. Not as cool, but if Brady wants to wear it post-trick-or-treat, it may go over better not having a tummy graphic.
