Panel XVI at Mid-Ohio Con

Like clockwork, the fall volume of the Panel anthology debuted at this weekend's Mid-Ohio Con. The faux notebook cover design (courtesy of the illustrious Brent Bowman) couldn't have been pulled off better.  Brent really channeled his inner teenage girl. If you know Brent, this should strike up some interesting visuals.

Check out the Ferret Press store to get a copy of your very own.

It's Always Wednesday

Okay, quick update.  I'm a bit of a geek.  I hid it well (I think) in my younger days, but now fly my flag proudly.  To pander to my inner geek, I'm going to start documenting what I'm reading. Hint, rarely are there words without pictures. I'm going to separate my posts into two categories; monthly comics from the LCS and graphic novels from the library.

I'm tempted to fan them out and give you a sketch instead of a photo, but I'm not sure on that yet.  I had a long standing photo ban on the web, and I don't know if that should carry forward.  Week one, since I'm busy will be a photo.  I'll come back to the original post and supply thoughts after each book is read.  Being that I hit the LCS no more than every two weeks and the library monthly, this should be an undertaking I can keep up with.

Panel XV- Movies

Art for Panel 15.

Story by Sean McGurr.

Sean had a really great concept for this story.  It was supposed to be him narrating and then throughout the theater you would see these vinettes of annoying movie-going patrons.  I may revisit that sometime.  It would be a bit more challenging than the nine panel grid I went with.  We'll see.
